Canonteign Estate is the perfect place to fly the hawks in their natural environment, and the perfect place to experience the thrill of handling these magnificent birds of prey at close quarters and in free flight. We have a variety of packages to suit including the opportunity to fly a bird "to the fist" so you can feel the unforgettable sensation of having a magnificent bird of prey on your arm; as well as "walks with the hawks" and the opportunity to participate in hunting sessions.

Today, as in the distant past, hawks, owls, falcons and their relatives, have the power to capture our attention and admiration. Our birds will display their natural instincts to soar, quarter, pounce and mantle, and our Falconers will answer any questions you may have about the birds and the ancient sport of falconry.

Falconry experiences can take place all year round and please note that the species of bird flown will be dependent on the time of year. The minimum age unaccompanied is 14 years.
