Wedding Venue - Hire Options
We have a number of different wedding venue hire options available for your Devon Wedding, and a licensed bar and entertainment licence until 1 o'clock. The prices quoted are for venue hire only but include use of our extensive grounds that offer a wonderful photographic opportunity. Some kitchen facilities are included in the hire costs in Canonteign House but not the kitchen at The Falls. You will also have the use of a very large car park and washroom facilities.
Wedding Ceremony
The Fern Room
The Fern Room at Canonteign House is licensed for Civil Weddings or Partnership Ceremonies, and is just perfect for a champagne reception on the terrace with access to the lower gardens. It can accommodate up to 75 people and is available six days a week, Monday - Saturday between the following times
Times: 10am - 1pm or 2pm - 5 pm
Cost:
Weekdays £950.00 inclusive of VAT
Saturdays £1050.00 inclusive of VAT
The Great Hall
Cost:
Weekdays - £1300.00 inclusive of VAT
Saturdays - £1450.00 inclusive of VAT
The Great Hall can seat up to 120 guests
Tables and chairs can be hired in and the Registrars' attendance fees are not included. These can be obtained from Devon Register Office in Exeter on telephone number 01392 384232. A non-refundable deposit of £250.00 is required to secure any booking.
Wedding Breakfast and/or Reception
Canonteign House for Wedding Receptions
We are now offering Canonteign House and gardens for a wedding and reception package tailored to meet your individual requirements.
Receptions - The Great Hall can seat up to 120 guests with use also of The Fern Room. Tables and chairs, bar and barmen are included as is access to all our gardens, terraces and 80 eighty acres of parkland. Licensed until 1am.
Cost: £5250.00 inclusive of VAT
Covered Barn and Courtyard
Perfect for an informal country wedding, our covered barn will seat 75 guests and is the ideal place for a relaxed and casual Devon wedding, spilling out onto a pretty courtyard overlooking Lily Lake and national parkland.
Times: Any time from 11am up to 1pm
Cost: £1250.00
Lakeside Marquee Area
The lawned marquee site overlooking the main lakcan take a marquee seating up to 250 guests.
Times: Any time from 11am up to 1pm
Cost: £1250.00*
If the marquee site and covered barn are booked together the price will be £2000
Exclusive use
It is possible to hire the Estate on an exclusive use basis for day and/or evening events by negotiation.
